Firstly, I'm so sorry to have been away for a while - i've been so busy with everything!
But I will be back with bigger and better posts!
Secondly; blogspot really does not like my banner..
It keeps removing it and it looks horrible, so I have had to put the old one back. God knows why it wont work. I'll try and convert the banner into a different saving format when i next have the chance.
Thank you for all being so patient - BFS will be back as soon as possible!
big hugs,
Nicole xx

New Moonacre Shop!

There already is the Moonacre Mansion page, but oh no, they're going all out with promoting this one.
We have a 'The Secret of Moonacre' Shop!
Though, I'm not exactly sure why the boy has no clothes on..
But the dresses are from $5-$8. Perfect if you're having a medieval themed party, but not entirely practical.

Russia Rocks!

This year they are going to be Europe's host for the Eurovision Song Contest.
You may, or may not know that the UK has had some extremely unsuccessful Eurovision acts, including the nil points earners Gemini (seriously, how did we choose them to represent us?!) Chav Rapper; Daz Sampson, Cheesy Scooch, and last years former X Factor Runner Up; Andy Abraham- who I would like to say did not deserve joint last place!
Please everyone, my foreign friends, my fellow stardoll-ians; VOTE FOR THE SINGER and not your next-door-neighbour country.
This year Andrew Lloyd-Webber, the famous musical songwriter/composer (his works include The Sound of Music, Joseph & The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar! and many more..) is writing the UK entry's song.
So on that note, hopefully it may be Eurovision London 2010?
Anyway, I'm loving the Russian theme- the thick layers are perfect for this Winter, and as you can see below I have used several. Team with striking make-up for the full effect.

Cheap Non-Superstar Hotbuys (And they're Decent!)

Do you remember that Topshop rip-off Blue Balloon like Voile dress? $15?! You have got to be joking me.
Anyway, yesterday the Juicy Couture plum/purply Ski Jacket was released, and I was expecting it to be at least $8, but was in shock when the price tag said $5!

Is this a mistake?
I'm thinking, maybe it is.
Or maybe Stardoll had a very happy new year, and are still in with Holiday festivities.
I'm not sure, it's your call on this one.
But whatever you do make sure you snap up this one quick-
especially all you Non-Superstars, as Hotbuys unfortunately aren't thrown your way everyday!
This is my version of the two Hotbuys pieces, and you can make your own look with them, this one on the left is just a quick-fix example.
The colours are rich and glossy, but unfortunately are a bit hard to team with other things! I've gone for an Purple theme, with simple makeup, as shown below.

Banner Problems! - Technical Difficulties
Just to let you know that I've been having some bad technical difficulties, and my Banner (at the top of the page) disappeared, and won't upload onto blogspot - it says 'invalid image url' - no idea what that means, as it was fine before.
So I've had to put the old banner back instead.
A Few Updates & Re-Releases News

Some lovely members have been giving really nice comments and congratulating me on my work. I really appreciate it, but most importantly thank you for taking some time to come and have a read. It's people like you who I will remember in the future.
I hope you all enjoyed my biography-like account in my last post; From Paperdollheaven to Stardoll.
It was great writing it and reminicising about the old days. Alot of people don't realise what Stardoll used to be, and I'm sure it may come as a shock to some of you!
Not much has been happening on Stardoll today, apart from the Nordic Winter outfits have been re-released from last year.
Stardoll staff must be stuck for new clothing ideas, as nothing has come up on the Spoilers pages either. I'm still waiting for the new DKNY collection to appear, but I expect Stardoll is taking as long as possible with it. (It should be worth it though!)
I would really appreciate it if you could spread the word about BFS, as sometimes it does feel like I'm blogging to myself :)

From Paperdollheaven to Stardoll

You bought stardollars and then if you wanted you could buy Superstar membership for thirty stardollars. Superstar membership meant that you could get the free gold dress in the Shop and you could access the new dolls, whilst other people had to wait a couple more days.Hardly anyone was Superstar, and the main superstar privelige was you would appear on the Superstar Catwalk and you would receive one free broadcast a month. When you signed up to Stardoll you received 50 stardollars - and that went a long way.
Aah, those were the days.
But then the name got changed to Stardoll and we stopped getting free stuff. It became more expensive and most things began to cost more. More people bought stardollars in order to afford it, but when you bought stardollars, you automatically became superstar.
Items in the shop became more 'Superstar-only' and then the Starplaza arrived. Real Brands were introduced and the 'Elites' were born.
I got sick of my original account because I missed the old paperdollheaven, so deleted it. I didn't mind the new 'Stardoll' to begin with but then it all began to annoy me. I re-joined Stardoll in the middle of 2008. It's been such a long time now, that I've forgotton everything I loved about PDH.
But i've been rooting around. When you typed http://www.paperdollheaven.com/ into your address bar, it automatically re-directed you to Stardoll. Well it used to.
Now when you type in paperdollheaven.com it brings you to this.
Now when you type in paperdollheaven.com it brings you to this.

You don't need an account. This is basically what Stardoll was. Somewhere you can (as it says) 'Play fun free games.'
It's changed alot since I first came to paperdollheaven. I miss the old days.

Leave your comments!

Animal Spoilers & Moonacre Gifts
These are two spoilers behind the surprise windows of the Moonacre page.

The Secret of Moonacre is a very clever ploy in a way of advertising. Giving away free gifts to members - and lets be honest, they're the first decent gifts we can actually use.
I myself always forget to visit the 'mansion' page and usually miss out on something, but I know for a fact that the horse in this spoilers was released today.
I don't know whether the lion has, but I thought they looked pretty interesting.
Here is the lion link: http://cdn.stardoll.com/flash/items/0/18502.swf

In another spoiler today, it looks as if the elusive Callie or someone in the Stardoll office has gone Animal Happy, because aswell as the Moonacre animals, it looks as if some more dogs are on their way to the Stardoll Minishop. (Yes, more - do we really need any more?! I swear we have about 50 million dog species on stardoll already.)

There haven't been any new Clothing spoilers since the January Hotbuys.
This also means that we shouldn't expect the New DKNY collection to be appearing anytime soon, as it hasn't shown up on the Spoilers site - something which always has to happen before an item is released. (Don't ask me why/how it's very confusing.)
As soon as any clothing - especially the new DKNY appears on the spoilers, I will post it on here so you can all get a preview of whats to come!
On a more personal note:
I'd also just like to ask; what do you think of the new banner?
It's slightly different from the original, though still on the brick background theme. I've made the whole thing larger and a more closeup image of my doll too. The font is bloggingforstardoll 's signature writing now, so I've kept that in a traditional black. The doll however is dressed in an entirely more professional business-like way which I think suits the site.
Hope you like!

Oo-er New DKNY?!
First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I hope 2009 has been brilliant for you all, (its been boring so far for me, but I'm sure that will change)
I want to bring your attention to the subject of DKNY.
Yesterday all the collections were slashed to half price by Stardoll (without warning.)
A few items were in the Sale a couple of days ago, and I bought them but I missed out on the reductions yesterday. Sure, I'm a bit miffed but I'm not that bothered because, lets face it, those collections were freaking awful. And the pieces I wanted were the pieces that were reduced a couple of days ago so I'm happy about that.
And THEN, to add even more to the drama; on New Years Eve Stardoll released a free DKNY Gold Lurex dress - which I have to admit is fab. (And still available so grab it now as it may not be free forever.)
So when I go to see if anything exciting is happening in DKNY this morning I find it is 'Closed for remodeling' as you can see below.

So.. the big wonder is- WHEN IS THE NEW COLLECTION BEING RELEASED?!
And WHAT will if be like? Hopefully good this time. Hahaah. But if the free dress is anything to go by, then this is definitely a 'one to have' collection.
So stand-by your computers Stardoll-ians; as you remember the last collection was free for a limited time when it was first released. So everyone's hoping for another glitch!
Oooh I'm looking forward to it,
-Nicole
